    Yup, same band. Ice-T, Ernie C and Sean E Sean have been there since the beginning. I'd say I'm in the middle on that track. It was borne out of a lot of anger, like most straight rap songs.

    YT recommended a channel called "Lost Hits Of The 70's & 80's". Tons of truly obscure bands there, but The Miracles was not quite one of those. They did 7 albums after Smokey departed. This is the 7th and final album. It did not chart. The Miracles-The Miracles (1978)

    This track sounds heavier than most "hair metal". Closer to German power metal bands like Blind Guardian or Steeler (the Axel Rudi Pell band). A very cool old-school metal sound.
