OTOH, I can play to a reasonable standard much of Jimi Hendrix's music, but I don't doubt he was a genius. Is the album "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" heavy metal?
No, I don't think of the Zep as a heavy metal band. I kind of use this generic term of hard rock/heavy rock, which I'd plonk some of their stuff in, but they were also heavily blues and folk influenced, so I think it's easier to say Zep weren't heavy metal.
