Favorite Metal / Hard Rock Releases 2017
Well, I've posted my list of 2017 releases elsewhere, but my favourite for the year is BCCIV. Not a track by them I haven't liked yet. Paranormal is ok, but I like Brutal Planet better, and also Dirty Diamonds from the more recent stuff. Think I'll have to check that Deep Purple one out.- Porch Monkey

Except that on "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", they flat-picked the acoustic guitar (which is how I started out playing it, tbf), much better finger picked. That's the only live one I've got (got a best of album by them). Other than that, I thought it was a very good cover, well sung.- Porch Monkey

So if I've got the first two albums, and if I had that "Into the fire" track, would I have everything released with Di'Anno in the way of actual songs, rather than different recordings of the same songs? Same here. (I remember Angel Witch!) I used to go to the rock nights at the Ruskin, but I missed Maiden playing there by a couple of years (I only moved away from London in about 2012-ish). I still haven't been able to get past the NotB album, and prefer the Di'Anno days, although Hallowed Be...- Porch Monkey
