I have read a few comments down the years one or two people didn't like his singing voice although he sounded ok with me. As has been said before about Rory Gallagher "He never made a bad album" which is true plus he never had any 'filler tracks' on his albums.- E-Z

Best album of 1972
Deep Purple's Machine Head WAS the best album they recorded although perversely the 1975 Come Taste The Band album without Ritchie 'the man in black' on guitar was actually a pretty good album with American guitarist Tommy Bolin recruited as a full time replacement for Ritchie although...- E-Z

Roy use to play a butterscotch yellow (yellow mustard) coloured Fender Telecaster mostly. From memory the song Roy recorded called Because We've Ended As Lovers was dedicated to Jeff Beck and I think Jeff reciprocated with dedicating a song to Roy.- E-Z

With regards to Jeff Beck yeah I tend to agree with you BluesRocker and also I never really got into him either although I do like the Beck, Bogert & Appice power trio but Blow By Blow & Wired are a bit to 'Jazz/Rock' sounding for my liking plus with 'instrumental albums' I am a bit indifferent...- E-Z

Yeah you are correct dr wu because with due respect to Jeff, Jimmy & Eric I tend to listen more to guys like Rory, Tony McPhee & Alvin Lee and those guys not to say that Jeff, Jimmy & Eric are lessor musician's god forbid, anyway I have all the Led Zeppelin cd albums and a few Zeppelin vinyl...- E-Z

Jo Ann Kelly also played with Tony McPhee and the Groundhogs back in the day. Tony McPhee another well regarded British blues/rock guitarist who sadly passed away a couple of years ago in 2023 who I greatly respected for his guitar playing.- E-Z
