Brandy (You're A Fine Girl) ~ Looking Glass Lovely lyrics and always fun to hear again.

Wild Horses vs. Won't Get Fooled Again

Wild Horses ~ The Rolling Stones This song is brilliant. I once got into an argument with a radio DJ in San Bernardino in the 70s because he wouldn't take my call-in request for this track because it wasn't on their approved play list. :(

Jane vs. Lady Jane vs. Janie's Got A Gun

Jane ~ Jefferson Starship, even if it's Mickey Thomas doing lead vocals. ;) Best Jane Songs: Lady Jane ~ The Rolling Stones Sweet Jane ~ Cowboy Junkies (cover of Velvet Underground's original)

Ditto! Plus his famous daughter has the same name as mine (real name) spelled the same way and everything.

Walk On The Wild Side vs. Changes

This is a tie for me because I personally love both songs, and both were pivotal in their time. It's also hard to choose between Lou Reed and David Bowie!

    Gibberish Part I

Fun Beatles song but not much question about choosing Na Na Hey Hey cuz it's so empowering plus I also love Bananarama's cover and The Supremes cover is classic 60s girl rock.

Tom Sawyer vs. Once In A Lifetime

Tom Sawyer ~ Rush I used to hate Rush and then did a complete turnaround and started loving them! I guess I didn't "get it" at first, but once I listened to the lyrics, I was blown away at the intelligence and messages in the songs. Then, I got to see Rush in concert on one of my birthdays...

Free vs Humble Pie vs Mountain vs Ten Years After

All good bands! I voted for Free because Paul Rodgers' voice is one of the most underrated male vocalists in rock and I love his voice! So overall I would want to listen to more music by Free than any other band at the same time.

    Dreams vs. Hotel California

Dreams ~ Fleetwood Mac I love nearly all of Fleetwood Mac's songs and Rumours is one of my favorite classic albums. Hotel California is one of the songs on my Songs I Hate list. ;)

Random Classic Rock song battle # 3

All Day And All Of The Night ~ The Kinks Not for the love of The Kinks over The Stones (that's not the case) but song vs. song, ADAAOTN is more of a killer. BOB just, as someone before me said, just rambles on and that isn't so great.

Random Classic Rock song battle #5

I can't vote for one over the other, so it's a tie for me. As I write this, the poll is tied 14-14.

    Most Influential Classic Rock Band?

The Beatles should be #1. I chose Led Zeppelin because they basically took rock by storm and were the first metal band (looking back). The Rolling Stones could be third, but they weren't as innovative as LZ, with the different combinations of influences in their music.

Random classic rock song battle #12

Who Are You ~ The Who Too many good lyrics in one song there. Lots of rock excitement. I always have to crank up the end. After the last Whooooo, "I really wanna know, Oh, I really wanna know" I love the guitar. It's just this one little thing that got in my blood and stayed there.

Ramble On ~ Led Zeppelin I love The Clash also, but SISOSIG isn't my fave Clash tune.

    Baker Street vs. Sentimental Street

Baker Street ~ Gerry Rafferty {RIP} Totally. Poignant lyrics, sweet music, smokin' sax, blows me away every time, it's timeless.

    Hello, I am new here

Yes, one of my favorite songs is "Alone Again Or" which I have on a self-burned CD for my car. "Incense and Peppermints" is kind of a classic tune! :)

    New Guy

Welcome wisertime! I'm a newb here too. I love the Black Crowes and also their collaboration with Jimmy Page. Hey, if Pagey likes 'em... To me classic rock is the era of existence. If LZ miraculously got back together (with Jason as drummer, of course) and recorded a new song, that would be...

    Hello, I am new here

My (user) name is Roxi (not my real name). I'm a Native Southern California rock 'n' roll fan since 1956. The Day The Music Died was on my third birthday (although I didn't realize it at the time). My first love was The Beatles. I am a die-hard Led Zeppelin music lover.

    How did you find CRF?

I asked myself, "Roxi? (not my real name), what type of music do you mainly enjoy?" And I Googled Classic Rock Forum to find a forum to join to talk about music.

    Deep Tracks Battle

"Out on the Tiles" because anything Zep has to trump any of the other bands just on general principle.
