I generally am not LS's biggest fan, not even close, and I (weirdly to some folks) really hate "Free Bird". But strangely enough, I'd say "Simple Man" would be my favorite.
i know he'd been ill for a while now. Sad that he's passed away but I hope he's in a better place now with no more suffering.
I always enjoyed his music no matter the genre and he did leave a lasting legacy of music and good times to remember.

After 'The Album' came out, I used to put it on the stereo right before I left for school every morning. First song on first side; I as well as my friends called it The Black Dog Album because it's officially untitled and we didn't know what else to call it yet.
