For me Punk Music will never die & that's all that matters....I began listening to it in the late 70's & am still listening to it. Lately I've been going through my old Rock Scene magazines from the 70's(back then I'd buy any magazine w/ Kiss in it & back then I wasn't fond of punk until '79)...
I seriously have to think about what my favorite & best albums are from the 80's. I almost have to go with Appetite of Destruction just because it was almost the perfect album for my tastes at the time...I loved hardrock/metal but by 1986 I was feeling the energy of punk especially NY Dolls ex...
Well if you held off this long....might as well wait(I don't know if ITunes has the acoustic set) You could always throw on one of the Kissology's for a quick fix if you have them
I just can't believe how fast the concert goes by!! I'm not complaining but those 90 minutes seem to fly by! It is a great show with a lot of energy. They definitely do not seem to have slowed down at all. I'm glad they've continued on & I don't think they're ready to call it quits anytime...
^^^^^^I just got mine in the mail today!!!!^^^^^ Phenomenal set! I mainly bought this for the bonus acoustic cd which has the acoustic version of one of my all-time favorite Kiss tunes...Love her All I Can!
Mr. Jim... More than anything I would love a new cd with the current line-up. They seem to have been playing 4 or 5 new tunes in the past few years...I wouldn't even mind if they reworked a few old tunes with the new ones! The latest line-up seems pretty tight & they work together well. I really...
Ha Ha Ha!...sounds like something Deb would say!(for some reason Deb's favorite Thunders tune is "All By Myself")
I also think it's wild when an Iggy, Ramones, or NY Dolls/Thunders tune turns up on a TV show now!
My question for you Joker is...if you have it...what do you think of it? I ask this because I DO value your opinion on a lot of music & I don't own this one yet so ....
I like Cinderella, I seen them twice in the 80's opening for David Lee Roth & opening for AC-DC & both shows were...
Man, Mr. Jim... I guess we have a couple of pretty cool wives there ! Deb has grown to like Johnny too although she prefers Walter Lure's singing in the Heartbreakers. It's wild that one of Deb's Co-workers is 35 & a Thunders freak.
It's wild with Thunders because those 4 or 5 albums you...
I've got both new releases & both are phenomenal...I've been a huge fan since seeing them in the clubs w/ Queensryche opening in 1982/83. The We are Twisted ****** Sister DVD is great even if your not a fan of TS but a fan of Rock & Roll just to see how hard they worked on the local scene
Awesome article Mr. Jim!!! You know, I never stop listening to his stuff & I'm always looking for that style music... found some acoustic player named Dave Kusworth whose been around for a long time (w/ Nikki Sudden in the 80's) Anyway, he has that Thunders/Keith Richards/Ronnie Wood look &...
R.I.P. Sandy ...Of course I'm a fan of all of B.O.C. & I love those first 3 Dictators albums especially Go Girl Crazy. Sandy also produced a band that was short lived but I seen them live open for BOC & Sabbath in 1980 & had their Debut album...Shakin' Street which also featured the Dictators...
Glad he's okay...maybe this was a bad way of thinking on my part but I was so blown away the night before with his performance that as soon as I read he collapsed I immediately went online & ordered his last 2 solo albums (I have his first 3 Joe Perry Project albums &cd's...I've always been a...
Great news...a new album coming up from Ian! I seen him last year and then at age 66 there was no sign of slowing down for Ian Hunter. I know I'm really showing my age but when I first saw the name"Dandy" I thought it was going to be a remake of the old Kinks/Herman's Hermits tune & I thought...
I agree as well. I seen the Stones last year & they were phenomenal. I look forward to a new album(especially a blues album). I encourage anyone to keep going. Chuck Berry is 89 & still playing. He may not sound like he once did but he's still enjoying playing. Mick may look pretty old but he...
