    TELEVISION (post-punk band)

I've liked Television. Marquee Moon is a very good album. I really like the guitars of Tom Verlaine & Richard Lloyd. I also like original bass player Richard Hell's album Richard Hell & the Voidoids with Marky Bell (Ramone) on drums & Robert Quine on guitar

    Shellac

I like Shellac! I also love the job Albini did on Cheap Trick's In Color 1998(even though it wasn't an official release it's out there to be heard) It's so much more raw than original Cheap Trick In Color from 1977

Always a fan of White Stripes so I love this stuff!^^^^^^^^^ When I first heard White Stripes around the early 2000's or so I thought "Finally...possibly a new guitar Hero!!!" It was pretty dry for a few years for a new sounding guitar hero back then. Seemed like in the 70's & 80's lead guitar...

    Your latest Concert DVD/Blu-ray Purchases?

:oyea: Same here! Good color photo of Mick & Keith on the new issue of Rolling Stone. Keith ' s playing his TV yellow Les Paul jr. I do wish more of the classic bands would release stuff like the Stones do. Stones go through their archives & have released some great stuff over the past few years

The Jam are cool...I'm not a huge fan like I am of the Ramones, Heartbreakers, Iggy, Forgotten Rebels...etc. but I like them. I love Down at the Tube Station, Absolute Beginners, In the City, & Modern World to name a few. Last year I picked up a cool DVD set of Tom Snyder & the Tomorrow Show...

    PURE ROCK ! 80's Hardcore PUNK !

To tell you the truth...I actually didn't mind his song "You Hate Me & I Hate You" from the early/mid 80's but had no interest in him after hearing about his shows a few years later

RUSH Announces 40th-Anniversary Edition Of '2112'

2112 was my first Rush album & still my favorite. While I was discovering Rock music in my teens during the mid/late 70's a store had a discount bin of 45's 3 for $1.00 & one 45 I picked up was Temple of Syrinx b/w Twilight Zone...I was pretty blown away by Temple of Syrinx so I bought 2112

He said with having his own recording studio now he he can do 40 part vocals if he wants

    Sex Pistols VS Ramones?

Ramones definitely over the Pistols... I lived through it. Pistols music was/is energetic & fun especially Pretty Vacant but the Pistols were just puppets following their manager Malcolm Maclaren & lining his pockets w/cash. The Ramones were/still are real rock & roll. Always had fun...
