I just seen on Amazon that on October 15th Deep Purple is releasing a live DVD from their 1984 Perfect Stranger Tour. I am looking forward to this as I seen that tour & it was phenomenal. The only bad thing about the show I seen was that the opening band... Blackfoot only played 3 songs(Gimme...
Yeah Mr. Jim, I Remember the one time we went to some club in Canada to see the Rebels & Goo Goo Dolls together(It wasn't the Hideaway) & the Goo Goo Dolls weren't going over real great in the beginning of their set so they played Spirit of the Radio by Rush as a joke & the crowd warmed up. It...
I agree on the shirts & agree that the Danzig era was the best but I really do enjoy Project 1950 (I grew up with 3 older sisters in the 1960's & 70's so I grew up with all of those tunes). I find the album to be almost a fun novelty album
Awesome Mr.Jim! I was actually looking for "Buttocks" by the Meatmen on Youtube. I'll be adding more. Ultravox...great tune! I was just listening to old Goo Goo Dolls today. It's just funny that Johnny was collecting our dirty glasses at the Continental in the late 80's/early 90's!
In the 70's I hated Punk when it first came out & everything it stood for. Around 1977 my uncle would get me promo albums from a guy he knew that worked at a record store. He came home one day & said "Supposedly this is harder than Kiss". It was the Ramones "Rocket to Russia" & while I hated it...
This is one of my favorite Punk tunes of all-time. I've lived through punk & read a lot of books/magazines on it & always found it odd that I never seen or heard any real mention of this tune

It's just so sad how quickly they died off(Joey, Dee Dee, & Johnny). I also like their later stuff...it would have been interesting to see what they would have offered us had they stayed healthy & lived
Yeah, you need to get it...there are a lot of rare photos & concert flyers.I love how people just go into detail describing clubs like the Coventry because it kind of puts you in that setting!
I ended up making a playlist on my ipod titled Nothin' to Lose in which I put on the first 3 Kiss...
I'm really enjoying the new book 'Nothin' to Lose'. I find it wild that when they were rehearsing in the beginning they were covering "Go Now" by the Moody Blues( I can possibly see them playing Story in my Eyes but Go Now???). I've been enjoying going to YouTube & looking up some of the...
15 Times!!!!! Wow I seen them 5 & thought that was pretty good! I missed them this summer but have seen them 2 times in the past few years. They really put on a good show...although Steve Walsh no longer does his acrobatics on his keyboard
Nothing much for me to say about Tull & I probably will pick up the Benefit CD/DVD but the reason I posted here is that I'm just amazed how almost everyday there are posts for Jethro Tull! I would say probably the top 3 bands on this site with constant posting has to be (in no order) Tull, Kiss...
Great MP, there should be 2 threads and Jim I remember that shirt now & it still looks awesome! Mine bit the dust a few years back (I just bought a black shirt w/ the Brick by Brick cover).
Here's a couple more things...Back when my wife & I were dating I bought a video tape of Iggy in...
Wow... that was a wild time. Your son has to be in shock after this story and it's all true(my original post here checks that out). Was your Iggy shirt the Brick by Brick cover? I just remember you saying "We have to move to the back before we get in trouble" It was so crazy but seeing Iggy was...
You know this just goes to show you how great this forum is! I was gone for a while & I come back & find Mr. Jim making posts about Johnny Thunders & it was this thread that made me realize that Mr. Jim. Was one of my best friends in the 80's (& actually we played for the same hockey...
The next show after that Who tragedy was in Buffalo, NY which I attended. The show was phenomenal (one of the best shows I ever attended) but that said I was still in high school & it took a lot of convincing for my parents & my friend's dad to allow us to go. The main reason why were allowed...
I almost hate to say how much I payed but I did pay...$350 for 2 Kiss/Motley Crue tickets last September. I do have to say I would never had paid that much for a ticket nor would I even pay 100 bucks for my favorite band Kiss...wellll doubtful but possibly for the original band but here is why I...
Hey Mr. Jim... I'm just curious on this show if they came back a year later but I seen The Ramones w/ the Forgotten Rebels at the Hideaway in August/September of 1991. The reason I know the show was in '91 was because my mom passed away early August & that was the first time I went out...
