Enjoyed the full article (essay ?).....well written and nice references to other art and culture of the times.
The only artist mentioned there I still listen to is Neil Young and mostly his older 70s (late 60s)material.
Used to like U2 and Springsteen but don't bother with them anymore though...
I've known about the Shaggs long before I came here ,but wondered if anyone had mentioned them here.......I saw the 4.5 stars and I thought he can't be serious...took me a minute to realize you posted on April 1.
I can't imagine anyone listening to the whole lp but then people listen to that...

This thread is almost 11 years old but felt the need to bump it up.
I was going to start a new one called 'Bands You Simply Dont Like' but this one is already here so.... Always helpful if one gives reasons but some of these bands are so mediocre and derivative that the reasons for me are...

'Gold Dust Woman' had posted this about a year and a half back.....just relistened to the lp by LInda Perhacs. Considered an obscure folk rock psych classic by many. Simply gorgeous.

Well....those are decent artists/bands for sure, but yet no Iron Maiden, Jethro Tull, Styx, Free, Bad Company, Thin Lizzy, King Crimson, Supertramp, etc...etc..all who imho deserved to be in long ago before many others.
