    Spirit (Official Thread)

I like all of the early Spirit lps and 12 Dreams is highly rated by both critics and fans making several '1000 albums to hear before you die' lists and described as "one of the era's great underrated albums" and a "trippy masterpiece". Sadly Kapt Copter has 5 covers done mediocre/poorly imho and...

    Spirit (Official Thread)

Hmmm.....not sure how I missed this thread over the last 2 or 3 years but they are one of my favorite bands . Their first 4 lps are a must own ......and 12 Dreams of Dr Sardonicus is a masterpiece imho. They were the epitomy of proto-prog and very talented musicians who were far better than...

What Are You Listening to Now? Pics/Videos

Interesting band in that Ric Gretch the original bass player was also in Blindfaith later and later John Wetton played bass before going to KIng Crimson. Also Dave Mason played mellotron on Dolls House. Family were highly thought of by musicians of their time period.

    Psychedelic Folk

I couldnt find a psych rock thread here...didnt want to start a new one so Im putting Family in here. First lp from July 1968....'Music In A Dolls House'......some consider this proto prog as well as psych rock....but it has folk elements as well. Very interesting album.

    Worst style of music...... EVER.

Just curious but am I the only one who dislikes what I call third tier hard rock/metal bands. There are many of these and I notice that some of the members seem to post them a lot in the 'what are you listening to' thread. I mentioned before that there are so many interesting good rock bands...
