BOB SEGER & THE SILVER BULLET BAND - 'Nine Tonight' I know it was posted only recently, but it encouraged me to play it again. Terrific band, terrific album!

HEAVY METAL KIDS - 'Kitsch' Seen this band several times, with and without their charismatic front man, the late-lamented Gary Holton. They never disappointed! (Gig reviews here)

Agree 100%, hence these are the only two albums that I own, one of them being a 'Best of...' compilation.

I like this, but it's not as good as his first solo album, 'Daltrey', which is peppered with songs written by Leo Sayer. Despite his poppy image, Sayer was exceptionally good when he was starting out, and you should try his 'Silverbird' album for tracks like 'Why Is Everybody Going Home?' and...

LE ORME - 'Uomo Di Pezza' (Rag Doll Man) More Rock Progressivo Italiano and bloody good it is too. Both of the albums that I have just listed are 2022 re-issues, complete with Japanese-style obi strip and are numbered limited editions. This one was a snip at just £16.72!

BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO - 'Come In Un'Ultima Cena' (As In A Last Supper) I dropped very lucky here! 180g vinyl 2022 re-issue in Italy. Bought via Amazon where it was listed as £16.63 (free post if you spent over £20, so I bought another LP - see next...). Imported all the way from Italy (I...

The great 180 gram vinyl rock n roll swindle

You may well be right. I'm sure that we'll never know for sure. I also take your point about the prohibitive cost of these vinyls. I tend to shop around for bargains. I've had a couple from the HMV shop in Lincoln at crazy cheap prices, and ordered a couple of belters through Amazon last...

The great 180 gram vinyl rock n roll swindle

I have a lot of new 180g vinyl albums and, in the main, I am very pleased with the sound and everything about them. However... Is it just me, or are these heavier records more susceptible to static? I have to use my Zerostat Milty 3 gun on a regular basis before and after playing them. I even...
