I have a 1970s Rotel RP900 turntable and a Sony amp, neither of which is capable of digital connection. I'm stuffed.

SLACK ALICE - 'Slack Alice' I bet nobody has heard of this band & album. Check out 'Motorcycle Dream' on YouTube - you'll like it! Saw them back in 1975 - superb!

    Budgie (Official Thread)

For many years in the late 90s-2010s I had a Phillips CD-Recorder which was brilliant for transferring vinyl and cassettes to CD. I managed to convert loads of old radio recorded gigs and sessions! Sadly chucked them after a few years - don't ask why! :banghead: I am now in the process of...

I saw them back in 1974, supported by no less than Judas Priest on their first ever tour!!! (Gig memories here) Superb band! Their best album was 'Never Turn Your Back On A Friend' which i had on vinyl and then ditched when CDs came out. Now I'm re-buying vinyl and to get an original copy of...

Of course - I had forgotten 'New York', which I love. Some ace tracks on there, most notably 'Last Great American Whale'.

VANGELIS - 'Soil Festivities' Yes, I know, hardly the kind of record to crow about on a rock forum, but I like it. :HP Very 'ambient'.

THE ALAN PARSONS PROJECT - 'Tales of Mystery and Imagination' Mine is the original vinyl so doesn't have the remixed 'magnum opus' of side two, nor does it have the spoken introduction by Orson Welles, which is a shame. Hey-hoh - it's still excellent! :HP

I've tried, but I really don't like this. I liked much of his work with the Velvets but as a solo artist he never topped 'Transformer '.
