    Murmur or The Joshua Tree?

U2. Never had an ear for REM's alternative/jangle pop.

    Frank Zappa vs. Robert Fripp

Great question. Both innovative, influential and eccentric. Robert Fripp. I'm hoping for some new material from KC... soon... maybe.

Ted Nugent - Dog Eat Dog Vs. Nazareth - Hair of the Dog

Neither. Both unbearable. I think I did like both tracks when I was 14.

Really ? You should at least give The Battle Rages On, Now What? & infinite a listen. All are more or less in the same vein as Classic MK II releases. @joe I'm not really sure why I haven't listened to any Purple releases from the last 30 years. I did read some reviews on 'Infinite' some time...

Had to pick up the LP. All the analogue equipment the band uses I needed to hear it in analogue. A real pleasure.

Is the album "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" heavy metal?

Definitely. My fav from the band. The use of synthesizers, Mellotron, harpsichord, flute, piano and the keys from Rick Wakeman on "Sabbra Cadabra" plus the strings from the Phantom Fiddlers on "Spiral Architect" all add up to the first progressive metal album. :D

Nicky Skopelitis - Ekstasis(1993): jazz-funk/world fusion/dub; produced by bassist (all-too-busy) Bill Laswell. Imagine Can and Herbie Hancock jamming.

I highly recommend 'Blue Tatoo' and it's predecessor, 'Earthborn'. Both rival the albums from Passport's classic line-up('72 - '76).

Echolyn - I Heard You Listening(2015): symphonic prog; a more relaxed mainstream effort. A definite disappointment from their last release from 2012.

Passport - Blue Tatto(1981): German jazz-fusion; A slight new-wave/pop tinge on jazz-fusion. It works as it did for KC's 'Discipline'.

Lifesigns - Lifesigns(2013): neo-prog/symphonic prog; Reminds of the '80's when prog was more pop than prog.

    The Battle of 1971

Roundabout Hocus Pocus A Horse With No Name What a surprise. "Stairway To Heaven" has the most votes.
