I don't know the album version well enough to compare the two but this version sounded pretty polished for a demo. Really solid power ballad with strong vocals. 8/10
Lovely little number from this legendary band. Guitar picking was on point and that squeeze box instrument that popped up from time to time really added something to the song. 7.8/10
Sounds very early 80s. Music and vocals are both okay but nothing about the song really blew me away. And frankly, I think it should've been edited down to a 4-minute song. 7/10
I was a fan of his stuff in the 80s but I feel like his music hasn't aged well. It sounds very dated, especially the keyboard parts...and not in a good way like Soft Cell. I can't even listen to his hits anymore because they too have a very dated feel that for some reason only sounded good back...
Nice solo guitar work, and the synth was an unexpected but welcome addition. But I didn't really connect with it emotionally quite as much as I wanted to. 7/10
Has that classic late 70s pop rock sound. Interesting chord progression in a minor key, something you don't often hear in pop music. My kind of tunes. 7.8/10
Never heard of this New Wave band so I'm guessing their music never made it across the pond. Nice production, although it falls a little short of being a true 80s hit. Being a huge fan of the genre, I'll probably add it to my playlist anyway just because it's new to me. 7.7/10
Never heard Andrew's solo stuff and didn't expect it to sound like that. It's definitely not on the level of George Michael's solo attempts but it has its merits I guess if you're into this kind of stuff. It's just not my thing. 6.7/10
I could do without the chanting...or whatever that is. The rest of the song is fine, but that chorus is a bit annoying. It probably worked better in the movie within that context. 6.8/10
I'm not familiar with this version of the band, as it's a far cry from 80s Supertramp. It sounds quite proggy and not like the commercialized rock band they'd eventually become. 7.5/10
