Havent posted here in sometime. But damn this lose hits me hard. I meet Johnny at the Crossroads Festival. Truly amazing how nice he was to us. He answered my questions about Slide playing. Hope the younger generation keeps these legends alive forever.

Shocking news. I hadn't heard any talk of him being ill. He was one of those players that you think is going to be touring forever. I'm glad I saw him the times that I did. He was one of the best. See them while you can because you never know when they'll be gone. RIP Johnny and thanks for all the great music.

This was a surprise considering it happened when he was touring in Europe so if he was really ill I don't think he would have left home.

Universally respected as a bluesman of the highest quality, thanks for the gift you gave us Johnny.
