ELP : Emerson, Lake, & Palmer (Official Thread)

I just recently got into ELP with the album Pictures at an Exhibition. I also listened to their self-titled but I still prefer Exhibition. I read this whole thread and saw that nobody had mentioned it! It isn't too popular with you folks?

Vinyl update. I ended up getting lazy, I ****ed up and stopped coming on for awhile. Instead of looking for the old thread, I'd like to start anew. As for my vinyl, I'll give a complete list! The Rolling Stones -- Sticky Fingers (Rolling Stones Records COC 59100) Working zipper Simon &...

Why isn't Led Zeppelin given as much attention...

I don't know about what other people think but for me I'd take the Stones or the Beatles over Zeppelin any day. For one, I hear more of Zeppelin on the radio more than either of the other two. Secondly, they have, as I see it, a certain widespread popularity with a majority of their songs...

    Redoing my vinyl collection

Well, I'm not a big sound quality person, as you said, I'm much more about original labels. As anyone knows the sound of a lot of older vinyl is much 'warmer' than newer vinyl. That is how I hear it atleast. As for the grading on vinyl there, it really depends on the seller you're buying...

    Top 10 Rock Guitarists

In no order. Martin Barre Jimi Hendrix Frank Zappa Tony Iommi Jimmy Page Stevie Ray Vaughn Eric Clapton Ritchie Blackmore Duane Allman Elliott Smith You may find it odd that I put Elliott Smith on the list. I am a big fan of his music and I must say that he could play a mean acoustic guitar...

    Redoing my vinyl collection

What do you mean by 'new'... All the vinyl I get is used, I don't mind if they're in mint condition as long as the seams are somewhat intact, no tape, and no writing on the cover. I get my vinyl from, amazon.com ebay.com musicstack.com

    Redoing my vinyl collection

No, I'm not selling my old vinyl, I'm just storing it away. As I look at my vinyl I realize that most of what I have are reissues. I'm starting clean, I'm starting my collection over again. Now so far I have, Frank Zappa -- Hot Rats (Bizarre RS6356) Allman Brothers Band -- Eat a Peach...

Iron Maiden: Killers vs Number of the Beast

Re: Iron Maiden Killers or Number of the Beast Killers is, in my opinion, the essential Maiden album. I don't know how many people agree with that but you have to admit that NOTB has been overplayed. :****:
