Why do the songs that Sammy Hagar did with Van Halen have a different style from what he did with Montrose or solo?

Born to Run vs Band on the Run
If this was title track vs title track, I'd take Band on the Run. Can't stand that Springsteen track. Since this is album vs album, I'll still take Band on the Run. I don't mind a couple of other tracks on the Springsteen album, but that title track is enough for it lose (for me). ;)- Lynch

The White Album vs Beggars Banquet

My Generation vs Led Zeppelin
Definitely LZ1. Not a fan of anything by The Who from the 60s (while I do like them a lot more from their 70's albums). I can't think of any single song that I'd play from their debut, much less the entire album.- Lynch
