Favorite Aerosmith Album From The 70's?

Anything post Pump isn't worth bothering with IMO.

    Iron Maiden (Official Thread)

I'd suggest NotB, Piece of Mind or Powerslave, and Seventh Son. They were the albums that really did it for me in a big way, when I was a teen.

That famous photo of Syd at the WYWH sessions is one of the most haunting images I've ever seen.

    Iron Maiden (Official Thread)

Funny, Killers was the first album I ever heard, and the cover had be hooked long before I heard the music. It was probably Iron Maiden's artwork that made me scour album covers, looking for every bit of detail.

    Ozzy Osbourne (Official Thread)

There are some good songs, no doubt, but his solo albums as a whole do not compare for me.

    Ozzy Osbourne (Official Thread)

I've got to say, although I've seen Ozzy solo, his albums do nothing for me. Give me the first 6 Sabbath albums over anything he's done since.

    Megadeth (Official Thread)

It's really strange seeing a post like this nowadays. It's nice to see a kid discovering this stuff for the first time. I bet I'm not the only one having flashbacks. Enjoy.

    Thunder

Loved their first 2 albums and saw them many times during this period. I bought their third album and felt they'd gone right off the boil. Saw them support Alice Cooper after many years and they were still a great live act, that was about 10 years ago.

Review The Beatles - A Hard Days Night (1964) Stereo Remaster

And I Love Her was the first Beatles song I remember hearing. My sister had the vinyl, I've got it now, it's scratched to Hell, but I can't get rid of it. I must have heard the other songs before it, but that one stayed with me. It's still probably my favourite. As a kid, I don't think I'd...

    Is the live album dead?

They're definitely a more specialist thing now. Archive releases, or special releases that appeal to current fans are really all that's there is. They probably appeal to people of a certain generation, and I'm glad I'm part of that group.

Mother Superior-Heavy Soul Experience -been a long time since I heard this, still great. Sabbath-Master of Reality- I don't listen to Sabbath that often, but when I do, I wonder why I don't. Nirvana-Nevermind-I always liked the production, but compared to Sabbath, it's compressed to Hell...

Axl Rose & Slash are friends again

This old chestnut. I stopped giving a toss about this soap opera in about 1990. If you haven't read it, read Duff's autobiography. I read it out of curiosity, and pretty quickly, liked the guy immensely.
