To be honest I have never heard their music.
I just sampled 4 or 5 of their longer tracks and they do have some prog metal leanings...in fact a few songs...

No problem....that pic is wrong cause her hit was in 1964 and she made some lps until 67 ,and she didnt record again until late '76 and I dont think she had any big hits on those later lps.
Her '79 lp 'Broken English' is very good...I have it on old vinyl.

Missed this years ago.... chose Crimson since they are my fave prog band....but I do like 'Brain Salad' a lot but the first debut ELP is still my favorite by them.
