This is not the first time that I've failed to find a video of this tune that wasn't a cover or just Clapton.

It's a classic. What else can you say. The solo is classic, the song is catchy, it is slow and beautiful, it is blues-rock at it's finest. It is a good song to have your special someone close to you and dance to. It is a song that is fun to sing along with. Plus is it written by Eric Clapton, one of the finest guitarists and songwriters in classic rock

just a fantastic song and my second fave song ever written. i've gotten in all sorts of trouble before by calling it the first power ballad ever written (yeahyeahyeah... i KNOW how folk usually define the phrase 'power ballad' and the examples usually given... i just don't CARE, see.) it is what a power ballad *should* be, innit? musically, lyrically.

just the other day, reap and i were talking about ice skaters at the olympics. (mwhahaHA.) well, one of em actually chose a jeff beck song to skate to. he blew it, but man, was it a killer song choice. so reap and i were talkin about the songs *we* would choose to skate to.

i picked bell-bottom blues.

not that i can ice skate, mind ye. i can ice flop. i can break bones. that kinda thing.
