The controversial Alan Douglas produced Hendrix album CRASH LANDING from 1975 and it's follow up album MIDNIGHT LIGHTNING also from 1975. Strangely I actually liked both of those albums and use to play them quite often back in the 1980s along with the other Alan Douglas produced album NINE TO THE UNIVERSE the so called 'Hendrix Jazz album' which I presume was during a time the 1980s when there wasn't much of Jimi's recordings available other than the official studio albums and the posthumous albums such as the Cry of Love, Rainbow Bridge, War Heroes, Loose Ends & the 1973 Jimi Hendrix Film sound track album so the three Alan Douglas albums were at least some more Hendrix to listen to.
There are some overall good tracks on CRASH LANDING such as Peace In Mississippi, Come Down Hard On Me, Somewhere, Crash Landing & Captain Coconut although Stone Free Again is a bit pointless.
I still have a tape cassette of CRASH LANDING but both the vinyl albums went decades ago.
