A guitar player buddy of mine developed and patented this and is working on some deals for endorsement and mass production. I think it's genius. Can't believe this hasn't been introduced before.
I don't play much acoustic but can see where this would be a cool option especially for country music.

As far as I know they're primarily installed on a few luthier's custom acoustics. I hope to see him bring this to the masses.

Why? That strikes me as the answer to a question no one has asked. There are already hybrid guitars on the market with piezo pickups that sound acoustic that also have wiggle sticks. They don't sell very well, because almost no one wants one. If you want the sound of an acoustic with a wiggle stick, just get a hollow body jazz guitar. They're designed to sound like a loud acoustic.
