Red Spektor seems to be the real jam; looked into it and I'd try
it though usually a little skeptical about some of the neo psych-blues
thing, it appears they carry the goods, kudos @nedkelly.
Currently listening to a slightly west coast psychedelic folk classic. It's
remarkable how the opening cut comes on like the Moody Blues until
the Tijuana brass blasts in.

Speaking of classic psychedelia, these guys were quite good and sung
their lyrics in their native tongue, but most of it was instrumental prog.
PFM got a lot of worthy press in the 70's and deserved every
penny-note of it. Reminds me a lot of what YES, ELP were doing
with a fair share of Canterbury elements in the mix.

@Vader respect dude awesome album
As good as Shawn Phillips was, Jimmie Spheeris was as good if not better.
Both musicians were similar in a lot of ways.,, folk troubadour gypsies.
'Wimp Folk' as some of the head-banger's reviews tabbed it back then
(Lester Bangs, etc--LOL). Glorious wimp folk tho', and as good as
wimpi folk got. It's a little more appreciated now. Bless you Lester.
