I will definitely give this album a listen, but from what I've read, Beck threw this album together in less than a week...........he stated he has a message to send via the "megaphone" about modern society. Honestly, I'm not expecting too much.

Well, Jeff is one of the few people I'd trust to throw something good together in a short amount of time, but I understand your concern. It could be hot air though. As far as I know, he's been working on a new album for years!

No doubt Beck is an awesome player, even when he is just goofing around he's worth listening to. I will reserve any further comments until I've heard the album

^^ As far as pure guitar goodness goes, it just doesn't get any better than Jeff Beck. "Loud Hailer" is yet another great example of Jeff staying fresh and relevant with his music, without losing his signature sound.

In short: Superb album!

Couldn't agree more. JB has amazed for years, stays on the cutting edge and continues
to put new meaning into what started with Blow by Blow 42 years ago. I listened to
the aptly and wonderfully titled 'LOUD Hailer' in the mountains this summer. It was really quite neat. We sat around the sound room, just like back in the dorm days, us old farts giving the whole thing its chance to play out... no devices, apps, beeps or burps to interlude on us. It was great and so was the LOUD Hailer... if you don't listen to what Jeff Beck is and has been doing you can't really appreciate it. I like the girls' involvement too. I think he played better with these young musicians gearing it up with their own vision and creativity.

I'm not really a fan. Other than Blow by Blow I find him rather boring.
