I thought David Lee Roth was a great frontman, in the Early days of VH.

I would go along with Mick Jagger for the all time most energetic frontman although like Thumper points out you don't have to jump around a lot to be great and provide energy while performing..

Yes.. You don't have to jump around to bring on the energy.. You just have to ride a Harley Fatboy out on the stage for a an encore.. :grinthumb

I don't know the guys name but the singer from Anthrax seems to bring it in every song and all the video's I've seen of him.

I don't know what it is Pat, but I just don't like the sound of Anthrax, I prefer Slayer in small doses of course.;)

I'm limiting myself to the ones I've actually seen live. There's plenty of good ones already mentioned that I've never seen. A few of the best I've seen are Sammy Hagar, Steve Perry, Steve Walsh, Mark Farner, Billy Squier, Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, Bruce Dickinson.

One not mentioned but by reputation was one of the best is Peter Wolf of J.Geils Band - I've always heard he was a maniac onstage.
