Back in the days when we first saw Bruce Lee hit the big screen, Carl Douglas came out with this fabulous fun song, "Kung Fu Fighting". On the way home from watching "Enter the Dragon"(My fave Bruce Lee film  ) we were Kung Fu-ing everything in our path. :heheh:

I have this on a compilation CD, and yes I pull it out once in a while.

I have this one in my catalog too. A great cut for an 11 year old boy who, same as LG, was kung fu-ing everything in site.

We also made our own bows and arrows, held on to, like grim death, that stick that was a perfect size for a machine gun.

We never did quite figure out the boomerang, though.

We even managed at one point, to scrounge up enough money for a tube of B-Bs. For our home made slingshots, of course.

To this day, one of the greatest sounds ever is shaking a tube of Daisy B-Bs.

Funny to think about now, since I don't own any weapons of any kind.

But I digress....

This is a textbook case of a fad/passing fancy giving birth to a song...
