Mountain...I've never been a huge fan of Cream.

Fresh Cream, released in 1966, must be the one of the first heavy rock albums and inspired progressive rock too. NSU and Spoonful remain among Cream's best tracks. Although Mountain (the album) came three years later, Leslie West was perfecting his style and needed Mountain (the band). Later, Nantucket Sleighride would certainly give Cream a run for their money. I voted for Fresh Cream because it is a great album and a landmark.

^^I have a lot of respect for Cream but am just not a big fan of theirs and never have been. I've always considered Clapton's vocals to be...underwhelming at best even his solo albums they are the weakest part of his repertoire.

I can't remember the last time I played either Cream's or Mountain's records.

Jack Bruce is by far the better singer, but Clapton's vocals are okay now and again, as on Crossroads. Anyone for Tennis is horrible and I do not listen to Clapton's solo albums at all. Leslie West is an acceptable singer and more of a 'feel' guitarist than a shredder. I love both Cream and Mountain; I watched The Royal Albert Hall reunion over and over on video and listened a lot to a cassette I made of a radio broadcast of Mountain's comeback at Knebworth.

I've never listened to Jack Bruce's solo albums or Derek and the Dominoes, although I remember the famous hit single.

^^Slowhand is the only solo Clapton album I listen to at all. I'm not familiar with Jack Bruce's solo work so can't comment on it, but he is definitely a better singer than Clapton.
