Yes,
Halford definitely does come to mind especially amongst other Metal artists. Nobody's quite like him with his passion for carrying his live audience, ya know?
Anyways, there's another artist that should also be up there and that's gotta be
James Brown. Him and
Michael Jackson are some of the most important, stylistic, soulful and energetic performers of all time. Period!
They gotta be up there just as well.
As far as Metal goes (other than Halford), I gotta put
Megadeth/Dave Mustaine up there. They are true kings of thrash and had as much energy as any other thrash Metal stars of the '80s and '90s. Mustaine provided the attitude, intensity, anger, frustration, revenge, growl, speed, rage, authority, originality and insane electricity over anyone in his way. "Rust In Piece" is clearly one of the best Metal Albums ever created with incredible, original songs from start to finish. That's my favorite Megadeth Album while "Point Of Entry" is my favorite Judas Priest Album. Metal at its best.
The "next" Rolling Stone's type of singer is also worthy of this list. Yes,
Aerosmith's Steven Tyler was very energetic. The "next" Rolling Stone's singer also happened to be original in his own right. Aerosmith and Steven Tyler truly have their own unique personality and influence that they've brought into the music world that cannot be denied. I believe that he also has somewhat of a chance of being worthy of this list.
