I thought Freddie was a great showman. Every concert footage I've ever seen just sent chills down my spine.

I saw Van Halen in 1981 and Diamond Dave was amazing! He would climb on the Marshal stacks and then do spinning jump kicks! Beat that! Even when he was solo he was all over the place. I saw Maiden at an Ozzfest and not only was Bruce all over the place, all three guitarists where whirlling about! I would have to say that Iron Maiden is hands down the quintessential front man band because; not only does Bruce Dickinson run and jump everywhere whist singing, you have three guitarists playing amazing harmonics while they are prancing around the stage. And let us not forget Mr. Ed Hunter, who often makes his presence known in some captivating way!

What?? Are we talking about who bounces around on the stage more, or someone who adds energy just from being up there performing..
No question in my book... Rob Halford...
Yes, Halford definitely does come to mind especially amongst other Metal artists. Nobody's quite like him with his passion for carrying his live audience, ya know?

Anyways, there's another artist that should also be up there and that's gotta be James Brown. Him and Michael Jackson are some of the most important, stylistic, soulful and energetic performers of all time. Period!:bow:They gotta be up there just as well.

As far as Metal goes (other than Halford), I gotta put Megadeth/Dave Mustaine up there. They are true kings of thrash and had as much energy as any other thrash Metal stars of the '80s and '90s. Mustaine provided the attitude, intensity, anger, frustration, revenge, growl, speed, rage, authority, originality and insane electricity over anyone in his way. "Rust In Piece" is clearly one of the best Metal Albums ever created with incredible, original songs from start to finish. That's my favorite Megadeth Album while "Point Of Entry" is my favorite Judas Priest Album. Metal at its best.

The "next" Rolling Stone's type of singer is also worthy of this list. Yes, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler was very energetic. The "next" Rolling Stone's singer also happened to be original in his own right. Aerosmith and Steven Tyler truly have their own unique personality and influence that they've brought into the music world that cannot be denied. I believe that he also has somewhat of a chance of being worthy of this list.

Bruce Dickinson Rules!!!

he's very energic, he's 50s now but still can sing and run across the stage like 20 years old. and james hettfield pretty awesome too, singing while playing guitar but still entertain the crowd, but still far away from the metal god BRUCE DICKINSON (sorry rob :))

And by the way I'm watching rock in rio right now, SCREAM FOR ME BRAZIIILLL!!!

Why has Bono not been mentioned. The man is full of energy, especially in the eighties.
