Out of these artists listed above that were in popular bands before or after they were solo artists, which one do you think was the best outside of their band(s)? Sure, there are many other artists to name, but these are some of the better artists that I also would say are pretty well known. You vote who your pick would be.:****:

Ozzy, without a doubt. The first two Ozzy albums are pure gold.

I had a feeling that Ozzy might be pretty popular here. I probably shouldn't have put Ozzy up as a choice as he might/could interfere with other artist's votes. Oh well. We'll see how everything turns out. Hopefully most of these artists will get some votes from everybody.:cheers2

Randy Rhoads was that shining force though. Randy Rhoads was essential for Ozzy's sudden Solo greatness & bringing Ozzy back after Black Sabbath. He's still good, but not THAT good.:D

Not just Randy but Bob Daisly and Lee Kerslake as well. That whole line up was top notch. Of course Randy was the standout talent but I don't agree that Ozzy isn't that good. I think he is a natural vocalist who while maybe not being the technical virtuoso of someone like Halford or Mercury has such incredible creative presence he transforms many things he is a part of into something a little more special than they would have been without him.

I mainly was saying that Ozzy's that much better with Black Sabbath, not that he's not all that good or anything, ya see? I was considering putting Halford up too. I probably should've put Halford up in Ozzy's place thinking about it now. I loved his solo albums "Resurrection" & "Crucible."

I think he wrote the vocal lines and they are very good.

Location
On a Misty Mountain overlooking Strawberry Fields.
Bob Daisely wrote the lyrics on the first two masterpiece albums (that's a big deal) and DIDN'T receive credit, and that cvnt Sharon had his bass lines removed and rerecorded. I lost a lot of respect for Ozzy.

I vote for Jerry Cantrell, EXCELLENT guitarist and song writer, as well as singer. He does it all (except waddle around the stage shouting "I LOVE YOU ALL..." Ozzy rules in that department).
