Michael Anthony. He was such an important part of Van Halen whether it was with Roth or Sammy Hagar. He's been a cool guy & good friends with Sammy from the start. He was the great beat of/in Van Halen & him with Sammy Hagar were & still are the best pair together. Considering solo especially, Roth didn't quite cut it compared to Sammy. It was worlds apart. That aside, this vote clearly goes to Michael Anthony. After that comes Jason Newsted tied with Chad Smith, then Jack Bruce for my other vote(s).
