The first band Entrails was not bad but a problem I had was the sound. Far too much bass and I could barely hear the guitars. I think their live mix was a bit off. Good talented band and I did enjoy their performance mostly.

Disentomb another brutal Aussie death metal band went through their set with amazing energy. The vocalist looked possessed but had such energy to his growling vocals, the band complimented the vocals nicely. Very nice performance.

Psycroptic put on a fantastic show, I could easily distinguish guitars because it was all amped up much better. Fantastic brutal technical death metal band from Tasmania. Great performance.

When Cannibal Corpse took the stage it started the way it finishes, in a blitz, with amazing sound and precision much better than the studio albums. Instrumentally Pat O'Brien and Rob Barrett shredded like always on guitars, fantastic solos. Alex Webster I am a huge fan of on bass he played with ridiculous energy and it was nice to hear him in the mix with the great drumming and guitar playing.

George 'Corpsegrinder' Fisher delivered an energetic, brutal and fantastic vocal performance. Delivered all the songs with such precision and true to the songs including when he did Chris Barnes era songs like I Cum Blood, ****ed With a Knife and Hammer Smashed Face. He does those songs better than the original in my opinion.

To sum up the entire gig I enjoyed it, it was a fantastic experience to watch a death metal titan in force on stage. They never fail to deliver great songs and for my first gig of theirs they were perfect live too. I hope to go see the boys again if they tour again.

Really good review! I've got to say, I'm not a fan of the band (not meaning I hate them or anything I just don't really follow them or buy every album they put out) so why did I even check this review out???

Curiosity!!! I seen them a bunch of times in their beginnings here in Buffalo, NY at a place known as the Skyroom on Seneca Street. A friend of mine played in a band that used to open for them so I used to see them. I always enjoyed myself at those shows with my friends. There was always a lot of energy in their performances & I was glad to see them break out on a National scene. It was funny back then because I used to go see local bands at least 3 times a week & one place was all of these hair band rocker groups that everyone thought (including me) were going to make it huge on a national basis but the 2 bands that really broke out from that era were Cannibal Corpse & the Goo Goo Dolls (granted the Goos really changed their style but those first 2 albums of theirs on Metal Blade Records were very hardcore punk & that's how I always seen them back then). So I really enjoy reading up on Cannibal Corpse even though I only have there first couple of albums.(I may have to check out more)

Cheers, glad you liked the review. I think if you are really keen to check out some stuff, and being you said you got the first couple of albums(Chris Barnes era) Id suggest checking out Gallery of Suicide in the George Fisher era too.
