I'm really addicted hardcore to this game online. I always like to play games I can just zone out to while my music is playing and I always like to have something to do while my music is playing. This is perfect and really gets you into the music as well. I know it's not the first to mix music with gaming but I prefer just using a mouse and chilling than picking up a huge guitar. Plus you can pick any music you want rather than what comes with the game. I've been playing the Van Halen debut and Styx "The Grand Illusion" with this tonight and it's trippy as Hell with the visuals and the tempo changes on the track. You pretty much have a space vessel and you hit color blocks, avoid grays or in other challenges line up colors, etc. You have a series of choices in what kind of game you want to play. Anyway, you do have to doenload the Steam engine to play and it cost ten bucks. There is a demo where you can try it for four songs though. To me it's awesome and worth the ten though! :D Here's the link:

It seems fun Sooty and I already have Steam but paying for it isn't something I want to do. :p

That does look interesting Sooty, when I listen to music it's usually a "stand alone" thing with the exception of the GeForce visuals I now run on the plasma using my laptop. I'm not always using the computer to play the music so it's not even synchronized but just enjoy watching the program do it's thing.

I like the idea of playing a game with your own soundtrack instead of the embedded one though that has possibilities.;)

I think it's worth the 10 bucks Cosmic! It's taken me away from more expensive games like Arkham City and Unchartered 3 and I actually like those games quite well. It's just so simple and addictive that I keep playing it and it actually makes me focus and hear things in music or find a groove I wouldn't have paid as much attention to before. I listened to Deep Purple "Made In Japan" for the first time after buying it months ago and it made me get into the excesses I would've gotten written off before. With all the flying colors and trippy visuals I feel like I'm taken a trip like they did when theat type of music was at it's peak. :heheh: When I listen to music normally I'm surfing the web or driving and usually like to interact in some way by singing along. This is a way for me to get into music that's more instrumentally focused for the long haul. :D

Sweet! It gives you four songs! I bet Muse would be a good one to play it with! :)

I just spent a half hour dabbling with the demo and I can say you are right about that. However, "Just" by Radiohead and "Wait So Long" by Trampled By Turtles were easily the most fun of my five sample songs. ;)
