I can only remember one song off Kerry's fantastic solo album "Seeds of Change", when he sang lead vocals, explains why Steve Walsh and Robbie Steinhardt did the lead vocals for Kansas.

But he is an amazingly talented songwriter/guitarist/keyboard player, one of my favorites.

Kind of. I had just come in off the porch after serenading the neighborhood with the drunken blatherings I like to call singing. I was feeling a little generous.

But there is some truth in what I wrote. I really think everyone should at least try their hand at singing and....if it entertains anyone (even yourself) keep doing it. Maybe not on your front porch after 11pm but....

I agree Kerry isn't a very good singer, but what a songwriter!
My favorite KL song is Portrait(He Knew). There's much debate over who the song is referring to. Is it da Vinci, Einstein, Tesla? Great writing, make a lyrical statement and leave everyone guessing.

First person that came to mind was Pete Townshend, but he was already mentioned. I also really like Tom Petty, always have. I could live without Bob Dylan though.

My first thought was Billy Corgan. I like his vocal ideas a lot but he cracks and squeals at the most inoprotune times for my ear.

Richards' voice is an acquired taste. I like his singing. Mournful and plaintive.
