Ian Hunter band released 1979,

live albums , really top notch ones are quite rare, I rate this easily in the top ten, maybe even higher.

music sounds on the cd very clear and you can tell the band are enjoying themselves.

Instrumentals, good quality riffs, play acting with the crowd its all here

There are some cracking songs on here starting on with FBI a class instrumental, then into the well know once bitten twice shy.

Cleveland rocks is another song you have to listen to a true foottapper

Irene Wild he has the crowd in his hand, have a listen

B astard certainly get your attention and works very well live

Pick up a used copy for a fiver, if you have not got it give it a go

I have not reviewed every song because there is so much

Very interested to hear your thoughts on this one guys

Cheers Mike

I am not a huge fan of live albums generally, but you rate this one so highly I am intrigued.

One of my favorite live albums of all-time! This album is a must & the real treat here is how incredible Hunter & ex Spider from Mars guitarist, Mick Ronson work together (as they did through most of Hunter's solo career). This has a great variety of Mott the Hoople classics such as All the Way to Memphis, Walking With a Mountain, & a great version of All the Young Dudes which leads right into the almost emotional instrumental of "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue". His solo stuff is well represented with Once Bitten Twice Shy, Just Another Night, & all the songs you mentioned. We Gotta Get Out of Here was a minor hit with airplay in my area

I know it's a bit OT, but I always liked Mott the Hoople, especially Brain Capers, All the Young Dudes and The Hoople. Mott, with Ray Major and Nigel Benjamin, were great to begin with, around the time of Drive On, but went downhill fast. Mick Ralphs went on to Bad Co, who were at least as good as MtH.

Just got my hands of a copy of this. It's pretty good. Actually thanks for the review. Reminded me this album still existed
