Review:
To start this off, Happy Birthday to you Conor Oberst, a lot of people are happy to have found out about you and your band's new release this year, and this month. This album really has a new feel for Bright Eyes, a much more upbeat, clearer feel. It starts off very unique, with a man ranting or talking to the listener about some things. That's just the first track, the next track is instantly aimed toward Oberst and his skills on the piano and gives you the exposure of his unique vocal stylings. One track that really stuck out (for me anyway), is Jejune Stars, it has a very "Four Winds" feel to it. If you listen to both songs, you will see what I mean. Regardless of the slight difference in sound on this album, it still has the great Bright Eyes sound that i'm sure we've all grown to enjoy. There's not a lot about this album that I don't like. But with more listens, unfortunately some things may be pointed out to me that I didn't notice through the 1st and 2nd listen. Regardless though, it's a must have album for 2011. So I recommend it to anybody.
