Whenever I try to post a gif file (moving), and its the right size, not too big, it always posts the image but in a still form and not moving.

Can someone help with this?

I've never tried to upload a moving gif but I know that they work because Kath's moves and has been moving ever since that seizure related kerfuffle many months ago.

I know, I had one that worked, but the next like 5 or 6 I tried, they were just still images.

I am sure it still works,,,I have had no problems with the one I made months ago TB.(I made a small adjustment, the size limitations are the same, but I increased the amount of bytes you can use TB, try again and let me know how it works out for you.)

Are you uploading it to a host like Photobucket?

That is what I do for most of my important images rather than depend on them staying available from the net.

Gif images are permitted as long as the image fits the size limits.

images can be 190 x 190 pixels or 3.81 MB. If your image is bigger than 3.81 MB but still 190 x 190, the animation wont work.

you don't have to upload the image to an image host, you can add an image that is on you PC through the user control panel.

To check the sizes of your images, right click the image and check the images properties.

Got it working, I think the one I tried before might have been too many kbs. Thanks!

^^Did you make it yourself? I would slow the timing down a little, but that would also increase the size of the file.

I got it offline. Is there a way I could still slow it?

Only if you made it yourself, then you can adjust the "shutter" speed, so I guess you are stuck with it.
