I originally learned about this band because of Maria Brink. I thought her outfits were simple to die for, though a bit too....dirty for me but they looked really great on her.

I thought their version of "Call Me" was actually pretty good. Magic's thread about female-fronted (metal) bands kind of got me thinking how nice of a change of pace it is not to have testosterone-laden men yelling at me all the time.

KMET, I would rather have men yelling than a "Screech owl" voiced female. I just cant follow her voice.....but like the saying goes, to each his own.

Beautiful Tragedy isn't a terrible song, I think that is the only song that she isn't screechy and her vocals are pretty clean. In the Light is clean, clear vocals, but dang she is screeching out the high notes.

With your open mind Magic it's reasonable that you're not going to ike everything (not always possible with anyone). When looking through anothers eyes it's pretty easy to see why some poeple enjoy some singers and some do not.

Now onto the CALL ME cover. Soot I didn't know that song existed...that was pretty good and pretty freaky because I didn't know they coverd anything by Blondie before I referenced Maria's style to Debbie Harry.

That was awesome! Honestly, the only songs I've liked from In This Moment were the gorgeous ballads like Into The Light because their heavier stuff had sounded like a slightly heavier version of Paramore in my opinion but that song kicked my ass! I'm officially willing to give this album a chance!
