How good is Mark Knopfler???

Mark Knopfler has been making brilliant music for years with Dire Straits and solo, his new album is excellent, here is the first track...very folk....

I've always liked Mark Knopfler, his style is totally unique. I admit I haven't followed his solo career at all though, I do have 5 Dire Straits albums.

Although not solo work, he did some stuff with the Notting Hillbillies a while back. Really nice, layed back stuff

Honestly can't stand the man, there is something I find so abrasive about his music, iritates the shit out of me (an effect soon to be coined as the mark knoffler laxative effect)
