I choose Ringo, as his influence on the drumming world is unmeasurable. Keith Moon was also amazing for his playing, but ringo could keep a better beat. He is also stated as Paul McCartney and John Lennon's favorite drummer.

I have to agree with Tomcat. In terms of skill Neil Pert is by far the most talented since he is one of the most talented drummers of all time. Though when it comes to my personal preference I would go with Moonie.

Poll added....

I'm a bigger Beatles fan myself...but if we're talking skill...timing...multi styles...gotta go with the Professor.

I vote for this underrated guy...I don't care who is technically the best. It's all about feel. You can be a singer with incredible range like Mariah Carey, but I'd rather listen to Feist or Emily Haines even if they limited range. In the same way about drummers, I take feel over technical.
To quote Paul McCartney in Many Years From Now: "Ringo, Moonie(Keith Moon), and John Bonham would be my three main drummers. Not technically the best by a long shot but for feel and emotion and economy, they’re always there. Particularly, Ringo."

Exactly. I completely agree!

Ringo was always perfectly on beat and never messed up in studio. He describes the perfect example of someone just "playing the song." And his fills on a day in the life are still unmatched.

I love the Beatles above all others, but Ringo would be lucky to be a drum roadie for the other two.

Ringo has drummed for Keith Moon's album Two Sides of the Moon. They were also great friends. Charlie Watts has also said that he was a Ringo fan. :)

Paul McCartney has stated (in a letter to ringo) that ringo is the best drummer of all time. And, as for John Lennon, for his plastic ono band, he could have had any drummer in the world. Who did he choose? Ringo.
