Sadly, the only Rainbow I own on vinyl but it's one of their best albums.

Long Live Rock 'n' Roll from 1978 has a great album cover depiction of the band with Ritchie Blackmore of course dominating the picture but they all look like who they were in real life. Also some may already know that the inner gatefold picture of a rock crowd attending a rock concert was actually of a crowd of rock fans attending a RUSH concert and not a Rainbow concert.

All the tracks on the album are good to great but usually Long Live Rock 'n' Roll, Gates Of Babylon & Rainbow Eyes get singled out especially.

Did not realize that about the gatefold picture. Interesting fact.

Yeah, EZ those three are probably the big three of the album and every song is worth a thorough listen but I'm quite fond of **** the King

Later on in the mid/late 1980s and onwards through the 1990s the vinyl version of Long Live Rock 'n' Roll was re-released by Polydor records in the UK in a cheap single sleeve and not the gatefold sleeve that the record originally came in.

Yeah the rock fans inside the gatefold sleeve were at a RUSH concert.
