I guess Tom and the boys had a late night before, and weren't used to be awake so early, playing in the sunlight. Life on the road, backstage parties after the concert, livin' the rock star life!

Hey, eberg? off topic question - is this thread kinda slow loading or is it just me? For some strange reason the thread is kinda feels slugish. Maybe due to all the videos?

I think the forums just been a bit slow tonight, it could be youtube being slow as well, I saw they were doing maintenance stuff earlier, I'm sure it will be back to normal soon

It might be the sheer Size of EB's OP with all the videos he posted...it does take longer to load than most Normal threads...

So I should review every single song in great detail from Playback, that one has six discs, and then in every song in detail from the Live Anthology, that one has seven LPs, or five discs or four discs?...
Oh god... then the Superhighway tour.... I think the server might crash....
so I'll leave it open for someone else to sum up or comment on

I tried to upload them and could not, they apparently have a security "token" or something missing.... looks like Petty was avoiding the downloading thing, but if you want them I can email the link and code to you, they are fairly high quality and it is legal this way

Eberg, That's a phenomenal bio on Petty!!!!

I became a fan as soon as I heard "Refugee" for the first time & yes, 'Damn the Torpedoes' is still my favorite album although I really love the recnt Live Box set because it has a few tracks from one of the best Live Broadcasts I have ever heard...
Back in '97 they had a wild 3 hour show of Petty at the Fillmore in San Francisco broadcast live over 97 Rock FM in my area. I really mean that when I say it was one of the best shows I ever heard by ANY band. Petty did all his classics but the covers he played were unbelievable. He played stuff like "Green Onions", "Louie Louie", "Bye Bye Johnny","Gloria", "Time is on My Side", "Satisfaction", "It's All Over Now","You Really Got Me" & a bunch more!
