Everything Must Go-Steely Dan
(First listen)

Being a Steely Dan fan I bought the last 2 when they came out but the songs never grabbed me like the early lps.....didnt have the same vibe or atmosphere or something.,,,but well played and recorded.

Being a Steely Dan fan I bought the last 2 when they came out but the songs never grabbed me like the early lps.....didnt have the same vibe or atmosphere or something.,,,but well played and recorded.

So far I do not like Everything Must Go. You can hear the age I Fagen’s voice and it has lost that cynicism and sarcasm we like in the sound of earlier albums.

I used to despise their music but it's grown on me these days. Ironically it's the haters that partly contributing to me hating them less.
