Staind is a very underrated band that gets a bad rep for being associated with Fred Durst. Aaron Lewis is a honest and brilliant songwriter and performer. Not to mention they made the baritone guitars popular again. "Break the Cycle" is still one of the most complete albums IMO 1-13 of the new millennium.

Albums

1996 Tormented
1999 Dysfunction
2001 Break the Cycle
2003 14 Shades of Grey
2005 Chapter V
2008 The Illusion of Progress
2011 Staind
2023 Confessions of the Fallen

Great vocalist Greg but a lot of their music sounds the same when you buy enough of their albums! They need to add some newer elements to their music and expand a little to remain relevant IMO. They have all the components of a great band with potential but they have become stagnant creatively. Hope that changes!

BTW, Epiphany is my favorite Stain'd song! Gorgeous and moving! :grinthumb

i agree with you. A lot of there music does sound the same now. Talent is being wasted. Thats how i feel about Jack Johnson. He is going to reinvent himeself some more.

Re: Staind

Well, for any Staind fans here's the first single for the Aaron Lewis solo album! I don't know if I like this one. I'm fine with him doing a Country song but it's sounds like he's pandering to the Country crowd lyrically.

Re: Staind

I've always preferred the live version of "Outside" from the Family Values Tour with Fred Durst. Sure, he's a douche... but this version is so much better! This is actually how the song got its start. Lewis made up the rest of the lyrics as he went onstage. It's much better with a soft acoustic touch!
