I like it too.. Because no one can replace Franks way of dealing with the politics of music..
He was anti censorship so when he got his own record label he fired away at those who would try to mix religion with politics.
His real interest was in conducting.. but his rock songs were a way to show his disgust with the way things are in the music industry..

If you really want to see why he was aggrevated .. watch this clip of him on Crossfire.. John Lofton is your basic antagonist who is closed minded and has no way of defending his so called arguement against music censorship..

This is a video which has some good points about the music industry's downfall..

Frank Zappa was the intelligence behind the music..
Spend a little time and realize who the man was and why he did what he did..

wow how did I miss this thread.
    Zappa anyone?:greenie::grinthumb:tup:
Big fan saw him a bunch of times in the late 70's and early 80's.
His annual Halloween shows at the Palladium, NYC in the 70's and early 80's were the place to be so many great musicians discovered by Zappa too.

Yeah his lyrics can get dirty and perverted but it was all about his humor.

You don't get anything clean without getting something else dirty. ;)

Thumper, this is great stuff! he's completely on top of the argument and that Lofton guy is an idiot over-using the "family-argument".

Second video, what does he say on 3:33 that gets censored?

    MASTERBATION..

But Lofton is your typical send in the clown bible thumper who never lets the debate take on any truth..
He interrupts constantly and keeps changing the direction of the debate..
He has to raise his voice to over power the conversation..
I love it when Franks said.. "Well I'm not happy sitting next to you" :lmao:

^ yes, yes! I think I'd be too annoyed to keep my calm and start screaming in his ear.

It's very true when he said that Politicians used words to get to the point quickly instead of beating around the bush.. I agree with a quick point is better than going on forever and losing the interest of the people your talking too..

Julez.. You mentioned one of my favorite albums Frank did.. Joe's Garage... 1 is a favorite of mine.. Gave it a spin yesterday.. This song is so cool.. Any heart broken boy can relate..:grinthumb
