I actually like it, it's still instrumentally very good, and it's entertaining. He's trying to be a musician-comedian, or something..
And I guess he was just passionate about politics, and I like that too. And it's not that his lyrics are nonsense, I believe they are right on..
But I agree on the vulgar things, those are just..
I like it too.. Because no one can replace Franks way of dealing with the politics of music..
He was anti censorship so when he got his own record label he fired away at those who would try to mix religion with politics.
His real interest was in conducting.. but his rock songs were a way to show his disgust with the way things are in the music industry..
If you really want to see why he was aggrevated .. watch this clip of him on Crossfire.. John Lofton is your basic antagonist who is closed minded and has no way of defending his so called arguement against music censorship..
This is a video which has some good points about the music industry's downfall..
Frank Zappa was the intelligence behind the music..
