Uhh.... hmm.... well this would be a fucking sweet hard rock group -

    Jimmy Page - guitar 1
    Kurt Cobain - vocals, guitar
    James Dewar - Bass, vocals
    Mitch Mitchell - drums

For fun here's are a couple of power trios that have a singer that just sings -

    Robert Plant - vocals
    Jimi Hendrix - guitar
    Keith Moon - drums

    Layne Staley - vocals
    John Bonham - drums
    John Paul Jones - bass

Actually I'm fascinated by the notion of a power trio with just a singer...

i'm feeling the need for some combination of duane allman and joe walsh.

    i'm not sure who else.

duane allman + joe walsh + paul rogers + matt abts.

don't ask why. i'm still sick.

wait... i'm missing a bass player.

i guess lemmy wouldn't really fit, would he?

    kath
lemmy's book is a fucquin riot, by the way.

Joe Walsh and Duane Allman huh? That would be slide guitar laden and probably pretty cool. Allman playing the clean melodic parts and Walsh with that dirty sounding slide. Plus Walsh could throw in some killer talk box.

Incidently we just lost the best slide player in rock in my opinion. Rod Price (Foghat) recently died.

that's a shame. have ya noticed that everybody's dying?

    see how sunshiny i am.

anyway, i've always luvved foghat. i only got to see em live once, in the late 70s at the louisiana superdome for one of those day-o-rock-n-roll extravaganzas, but they rocked.

    lonesome dave was underrated, too.

perhaps it's time to go watch foghat live: two centuries of boogie again.

Get this. I go to see Blackfoot and catch Jakson Spires drumstick at the show and hang out afterward to get it signed. Three weeks later he dies of a brain aneurysm. :(
