Yeah, same here.

I love Joe Lynn Turner's vocals. I also really liked Graham Bonnet, although his look was always kind of out of place in that band.

Down to Earth might be my 2nd favourite after Bent Out of Shape...

I'm starting to wonder how many have even heard Stranger In Us All - I think it's a very solid album. I saw them on the following tour too. It was a good version of Rainbow too.... but maybe most people never noticed :heheh:

Honestly, I didn't know that Stranger album even existed before you made this poll. If you say it's good, i'll have to check it out at some point.

I had a friend back then who were as Rainbow-mad as I was and that's probably why I knew - went to see them with him obviously. But largely ignored at the time I'm sure, yeah.

It's definately solid enough for you to check out!

Went with Difficult To Cure with Down To Earth a very close second.

Side question, Graham Bonnet was the singer on Down, was he not? Why was he replaced? I know Blackmore changed band members like most people change clothes, but I've never come across a reason for the change to Joe Lynn Turner.:wtf:

I had to think a bit on this one since it was a toss-up between Bent Out of Shape and Straight Between the Eyes.

I have to go with Straight Between the Eyes.

Doh! So close to another Bent-vote :heheh:

I think Bonnet just didn't fit in - either with the band or with Blackmore.

I know alot of people don't agree with me but "Down To Earth" is my favorite Rainbow album period. I really like Graham Bonnet's voice.

I love Blackmore's instrumentals on Difficult To Cure Vielleicht Das Nächste Mal (Maybe Next Time), Difficult To Cure (Beethoven's 9th) and Bent Out Of Shape Anybody There?, Snowman.

I think it's some of his best playing.

1. Stranger in us All (I know, that it's least popular Rainbow's LP, but yet, it's full of powerful songs, and by the style, it's closest to albums of Dio's era).
2. Bent Out Of Shape
3. Down to Earth
4. Difficult to Cure
5. Straight Between The Eyes
