I've been listening to this one for quite a few years. It is all sung in Latin, so I can't
understand a word... but that only adds to the solomn beauty of it.

Has always a masterclass of the understatement the beauty of this piece is the chanting Latin by an order of Monks I seem to remember beauty in its simple format God bless you for the reminder how underrated this mighty awesomeness album @Black Dahlia

I am not 100% here, But I love Andrea Bocelli(is he considered classical)?? He has such a beautiful voice!!!

Not actually one of my favorites, but I love how Praetorius bridges Medieval to Baroque with his contributions in the very early 1600's.

by one of the greatest symphony orchestras of the 1960's.

IMO, maybe one of the greatest live performances of music of all time, of any type or genre. Amazing....


I have never seen such immersive intensity as I have seen in Karajan in this 30 minutes

Interesting black and white footage...almost looks like an old horror film and I half expect the Phantom of the Opera to stick his head out from behind the curtains.....a great piece of music to be sure and one of the all time greats but I always preferred Bach and Mozart's style.
