    :heheh:

Yeah, that's an unhealthy amount of songs. X Japan would be pulling Frank Zappa digits. :heheh:

Well, I guess I can count you out of Senmuth then Harkat ;)

Oh by the way, When he was here last he showed me Art Of Life and I loved it, particularly the whole piano part Yoshiki does! :grinthumb

Of everyone on this forum you're the person I'd most expect to like "Art of Life", Sal. :D I love the piano solo too but that's usually the part of the song where the people I play it for lose interest. Some people just aren't an 8 minutes multilayer piano solo. Their lose. :heheh:

Here's a great live version of that piano solo from the bands reunion concerts in 2008. It's times like this that I think of Yoshiki as the Hendrix of piano. :grinthumb

I guess I'm not like most because I actually picked up interest a lot during the piano solo. It reminded me of a couple of riffs Haken did, only isolated and amplified, and it was simply breathtaking! :D

Did you post Haken in Musical Thirst last round because the name sounds awfully familiar?

Either way, I think the piano solo and onward is my favorite part of the song because the narrator is getting tugged in and out of sanity with so much power and feeling during the piano solo and then comes to his grand epiphany (of sorts) coming out of the solo and in the final minutes of the song.

    I can't help but love it. :D

    I agree 100%. :grinthumb

For me it feels like a struggle in life, its gentle and beautiful then it changes to unco-ordinated and frustrated, ect

You're quite right Harkat. It partially symbolizes a fight against suicide.
