Its a Sigma Martin...they were made in Korea back then
Just went on ebay and looked at what your guitar is going for and your model ranges from mid $300 to $1.350.

But still the whole Martin & Sigma guitar is a good brand and built well.

Thats nice to know....it plays and sounds well. I have a friend who plays Irish folk music at clubs in Chicago and he always thought it had a good sound for a budget Martin.

@dr wu:

Another video of your guitar and of course a very good review.. Pretty much all the reviews I watched gave that guitar a really good rating.

:good

Hope I am not crashing the party too badly. I am (was..lol) a musican, a band nerd, and played in my University Marching Band 4 years. Can play 12 instruments, but sadly guitar ranks about in 12th place for me in proficency.

Still that hasn't stopped me from strumming around though....

My inventory is a '74 SG like the one in my screen pic, an '85 Les Paul, and an off brand 12- String. From what I am reading here, I am minor leagues though, and actually I might learn something on this thread. Thanks for letting me particpate.

I play a little on my acoustic but I dont pick it up much these days....when I first bought it in 1983 it was already a few years old from what the shop owner said so it was probably made in late 79 or 1980. I learned many chords from a book and friends who played but never practiced that much so my playing is not very fluid . Flat pick...never really learned to finger pick correctly. It has Dean Markley std bronze wound light gauge strings which need to be changed,,,been over 2 years.
It is a Sigma Martin DM3 made then in Korea. Martin sold the rights to a German co. much later.
... a video above of a man playing a DM3

When I was in high school and through college, I played in garage bands with my friends. Years later, I've retired from work and recently purchased the Fender below and I'm getting back into my musical side. Feels good.

I'm not a musician though I can play some and I have a Sigma Martin acoustic.
But I am right handed.....and I dont personally know anyone who is a left handed player though one can buy a left handed guitar or learn to play right handed as many musicians have done over the years.
Duane Allman , Mark Knopfler (there are many others) both learned to play right handed even though they were born lefties. Some like Hendrix played it upside down and restrung and just learned their own style.
